  11. I have just bought a Toshiba XM-5401B CD-ROM drive and I can not
  12. get it to work with the Mac Pro emulation.

  14. The drive connected to the Emplant SCSI.

  16. In the devices menu I entered empscsi.device and unit 0.
  17. I enabled the emplant SCSI option and the ISO/HSF option.
  18.  
  19. When I run the emulation the CD-ROM drive spins every 5 seconds
  20. (even during bootup) and when it does the emulation pauses.

  22. Eventually when the sys7.5 desktop appears the CD-ROM icon is
  23. not shown.

  25. Do I need a mac CD-ROM driver? I enabled the Apple-CDROM extension
  26. but it makes no difference.

  28. Also when I use the CDROM with workbench my system keeps locking
  29. up and the CDROM light stays on (sometimes it mannages to unlock itself
  30. after a minute). When the drive is reading a CD all my CPU time is used
  31. up. I have tried two pieces of CDROM drive software and both have
  32. the same problem so I can only assume it is the empscsi.device.
  33. I`ve heard it is pretty dodgy. Has anyone else had this problem?

  35. By the way will there be a faster PiccoloSD64 driver for Cybergfx
  36. and with more colours than 256?

  38. I noticed that there is now a eCybergfx driver, it doesn`t work with
  39. my machine - it says "unable to initialise video hardware". 
  40. Does it need more than 2MB on the SD64 board?
  41. If so will there be a version to work with 2MB SD64?
